The Kuwait Financial Intelligence Unit (KWFIU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today with the Kuwait Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation and enhancing collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The MoU was signed on behalf of KWFIU by its Chairman, Dr. Hamad Al-Mekrad, and on behalf of the Kuwait Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies by its Director General, Senior Advocate General and Counselor Bader Al-Masaad.
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation in promoting legal awareness, advancing training and professional development, exchanging academic and practical expertise, and organizing joint training programs, workshops, and specialized events. It also aims to support the development of national capabilities and strengthen the competencies of professionals across relevant fields.
The signing of this MoU reflects KWFIU’s continued commitment to building strategic partnerships with national institutions, fostering knowledge exchange, and enhancing institutional capacity in support of Kuwait’s efforts to strengthen its anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing framework.
