Kuwait Financial Intelligence Unit Highlights Its Efforts and Institutional Cooperation Mechanisms at “Nazaha”

As part of institutional cooperation and the exchange of expertise, representatives of the Kuwait Financial Intelligence Unit delivered a specialized lecture at the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), highlighting the Unit’s role in combating money laundering and terrorist financing, as well as mechanisms for cooperation and information exchange at both the national and international levels, in the presence of the Chairman and members of the Authority’s Board of Trustees
The lecture reviewed the legal and regulatory framework governing the Unit’s work, key methodologies for financial analysis and tracking suspicious transactions, in addition to mechanisms for information sharing and cooperation with national authorities and counterpart units in accordance with international standards issued by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the Egmont Group
The lecture also addressed the role of smart systems and technological solutions in enhancing institutional efficiency and improving the speed and accuracy of procedures, within the framework of supporting national integration and strengthening the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing system
This lecture comes as part of joint efforts aimed at enhancing national integration and developing institutional capabilities in line with international standards and best practices.
